The school communicates with its community in several ways. The number one form of communication is direct communication between classroom teachers and their families. Parent, student and staff surveys continuously highlight how positive this communication is and what a strength it is of our community.
In addition to the above we have a weekly newsletter that we use as a communication tool. The newsletter features ongoing news, information, and reflections on our ‘caring, learning community.’
The newsletter is shared via the Compass App and posted to this website each week.
The Compass App is a tool that parents/carers can use to receive the newsletter, inform the school of abscences, place canteen orders and receive information about excursions and other events. Please search the App store for the Compass App and select Bairnsdale West PS as your school.
In addition to the Compass App the school has a Facebook page and we ask you to follow that if you use Facebook.
